CISRS (OSTS) Scaffolding Level 2/ Five(5) days training course

Objective:

To equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures of intermediate complexity using traditional tube and fitting as well as common system scaffolds. Level 2 Scaffolders are authorized to perform erection and dismantling tasks only within the scope of this training. They are qualified to work effectively as part of a team but should not lead operations involving work beyond their training. Continuous and appropriate supervision is required at all times.

  • Identification of Components and Materials
  • Working with Scaffold Designs
  • Manual Handling (SG6)
  • Fall Prevention (SG4)
  • Foundations, Integrity, and Stability (including Bracing and Ties)
  • Access and Egress

Practical:

  • Mobile Tower (non-aluminium type)
  • Independent Scaffold (three lifts) with Return and Protection Fan or Crash Deck
  • Edge Protection and Handrails
  • Staircase Installation (System Scaffolding)
  • Loading Bay Construction
  • Access Ramp Setup
  • Practical and Theoretical Assessment

Eligibility:

  • Prior CISRS (OSTS) Level 1 Certification
